SNOW REMOVAL/NEW COMMUNITY INITIATIVE

This year's snow removal program is being done in partnership with the newly formed "Aaron's Way" organization. Aaron's Way is a new community initiative that promotes and highlights unique chesed opportunities for the youth of our community. The organization has been founded by the Tepfer family. This initiative as well as future programs will be done to perpetuate the memory of the very beloved Aaron Shalom ben Naftali Hertzka Yisroel Tepfer a"h.

The arrival of snowstorms and ice poses a particularly difficult and dangerous issue for the elderly and handicapped of our community. We are reaching out to any children, teenagers or adults in our community who can possible help with this initiative. Each area in our neighborhood will have a specific organized list which can then be utilized for this wonderful and easy chesed opportunity. Please email volunteers@achiezer.org if you or someone you know can be a part of this. If anyone requires assistance from this initiative, please contact out office by calling (516) 791-4444.

SHIVA ASSISTANCE

On another winter note: The days are now short and finding a minyan can be challenging for those unfortunately sitting shiva. Many of our residents work out of the area, making a minyan hard to come by. We would once again like to reach out to the community and ask those who live or work in the neighborhood to join a list of those who can be reached out to for minyan assistance. If you or someone you know can join this list, please email eweiss@achiezer.org. And of course, should the unfortunate need to use this service arise, please contact our office at (516) 791-4444.
