Full-Time Senior Accounts Manager

This individual will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Direct and coordinate client’s SEC reporting activities; responsibilities include insuring the accuracy and timing of the financial sections of the reports as well as the adequacy of information included
  • Oversee Senior and Staff Accountants with the following client service requirements:
    • Audit preparation and liaison with audit firm
    • Monthly financial closings and assistance with accounting procedures
    • Review of back office and accounting staff work
    • Assessment and improvement of financial processes and internal controls
    • Budgeting, forecasting, and projections
    • Business income tax management, and
    • Dashboards, key metric benchmarking, and trend analysis
  • Review financial statements including disclosures for audit, review and compilation engagements
  • Monitor the activities of all accounting standard setting bodies, including FASB, SEC and PCAOB, and evaluate the accounting and reporting impact of new standards. Additionally, monitor trends among other SEC filers to ensure the client’s reports are in line with industry and overall practices and standards.
  • Manage the efficiency performance for engagements
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Review corporate, partnership and individual income tax returns
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Develop outside relationships with a goal of fostering business development opportunities through involvement in leadership roles in professional groups, community service, and personal relationships with other professional advisors

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6-10 years public accounting experience
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC Statutory Accounting Principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  CPA and MBA Preferred.
  • Possess outstanding project management and analytical skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple priorities
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with clients, firm leadership, and peers
  • Strong leadership, training, mentoring and staff development skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks
  • Ability to work late hours and weekends if needed
