Achiezer COVID-19 Update Friday 4/3 1PM
April 03, 2020
Dear Community,

Despite the physical and emotional toll that this pandemic has taken on our community, we continue to see inspiring acts of kindness and selflessness.

We wish to remind you that, we must continue to strictly adhere to the rules of quarantine and isolation. Even after leaving quarantine, it is essential that we maintain strict social distancing. We must minimize our exposure by shopping only when absolutely needed for essential items. Shopping trips should be done quickly and without talking to others.

The foregoing is not written to alarm anyone, but rather as a reminder that, despite the passage of time, the virus is still well within our midst and we need to do our best to stop the spread.

With Pesach quickly approaching, and many individuals forced to spend Yom Tov alone, we have organized a community-wide effort to ensure that these individuals receive love and support for Pesach. Please reach out if you will be spending Yom Tov alone or if you know someone who will be spending Yom Tov alone so that we can try and bring joy to everyone's Yom Tov.

Baruch Hashem, under the guidance of doctors and with the help of our amazing community, we have successfully arranged for dozens of oxygen concentrators to be set up in peoples homes, enabling them to stay at home. PLEASE NOTE that there should be absolutely NO open flames near oxygen concentrators or oxygen tanks as concentrated oxygen is highly combustible. This is especially prudent as we enter Shabbos and Yom Tov.

Tune in at 3 PM this afternoon at www.achiezer.org/kids for a special Kabbalas Shabbos with the one and only Zalman Pollack!

Rabbi Aryeh Zev Ginzberg is in critical condition and needs our tefillos. Please continue to daven for Aryeh Zev ben Aidel, among all cholei yisrael.

The loneliness and isolation can be extremely difficult. We wish to remind you that Achiezer's line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our trained staff is ready, willing and able to assist with any matter you may need. We can be reached at (516) 791-4444.

Wishing you all a restful Shabbos,

Team Achiezer
